Reserarch Programme Management

With many years involvement in research projects in Universities in the UK and abroad I am as a consultant minerals engineer able to manage and co-ordinate research projects covering many different aspects of mineral and materials processing including:-

• mineral and materials processing
• sensor development for the chemical and process industries
• slurry handling
• materials handling
• rock properties
• powder and materials characterisation
• colloid technology
• chemical processing of minerals and materials
• pollution and environmental engineering
• soil reclamation, cleaning and remediation

I am able to establish and identify potential contributors to research programmes using the best available expertise in Universities in the UK and am familiar with the availability of research funding that will provide significant leverage to the funding that clients may be able to provide.

I will then provide a service so as to co-ordinate activities within programme to ensure objectives are met within a budgetary framework.

Research objectives may involve short programmes of work to establish the amenability of samples to various treatments or the provision of specialised characterisation or analysis of materials, to large scale programmes involving fundamental development work of processes or technology.
